Environment

At Project First we are committed to minimising our environmental impact by encouraging the use of green technologies, cutting our vehicle emissions, reducing the amount of energy and paper we use, and more effectively managing our waste. In the light of these initiatives we have successfully completed the BS8555 and are continually striving to improve our environmental performance. This has been achieved by introducing a dedicated Environmental Management System (EMS).

Phase 1 was the establishment of Project First's Environmental Policy, Phase 2 involved organising the structure of the EMS, and Phase 3 was the planning and implementation of the EMS.

Our Environmental Policy includes increasing our recycling of waste polystyrene, wood and plastics, operating a paperless office, switching computers off at night, and minimising waste (using initiatives such as Site Waste Measuring Plan SWMP, and measuring to manage waste Envirowise GC414, The Producer Responsibility Obligations - Packaging Waste Regulations 2005).
