Right on Time - Project First delivers at Tesco's Coulby Newham store

Project First Engineering Ltd has once again succeeded in delivering project management excellence, this time at Tesco's Coulby Newham Store which was originally installed by Project First Engineering Ltd back in 2004.

Tesco wanted to extend its existing one floor operation to two floor trading (TFT) by constructing a mezzanine, increasing its floor size to 80,000 sq ft. The construction was completed by Taylor Woodrow over a 52 week period, with the refrigeration programme length being just 26 weeks. Project First, under the supervision of Project Manager Tim Porter, undertook to reposition all the shop floor refrigeration while working around the builders' piling, which continued on a 24 hour basis. Not only did Project First manage to keep refrigeration online throughout the build, but it also delivered all 26 phases on time as set out in the Customer's Programme Schedule, and even managed to accelerate the delivery of the completed programme.

The Store Development Manager was so impressed with Project First's work he recommended it receive two Values Awards, one for the technical phases being handed back on time, and another for exceptional working above and beyond the programme. Project First also had an unblemished health and safety record.

No wonder Project First is first choice for project management through innovative, quality, cost-focused solutions.
